The Better Sibling

I was thinking about the childhood that I had and realised how sheltered I lived it. I never got to watch the normal TV that most kids got to watch – including Playschool and Sesame Street. I also never really got a Barbie – sure I got weird dolls, or crying babies that shitted when you fed it – but never a Barbie! Ahhh I was so deprived!

Being the oldest has had it’s deprived moments. I couldn’t do the following things while I was growing up:

• No boyfriend
• No going out past 4pm
• No dying my hair full stop
• No painting my nails
• No watching “AO” now “MA15+” and “R18+” shows
• No watching kissing scenes at all times
• No swearing
• No wearing school skirts above knees
• No wearing other than Navy-coloured undies at school (i know - gross)
  

Ok so that’s a lot of “NO’s” and seriously the list just goes on….! So unfair cos my sister grew up doing all those things and more! Bloody hell – being the oldest has it’s major disadvantages.

But then again when I think about it – I’ve grown up to be the BETTER sibling. Ahh sorry Sis ;)

P.S. I can't wait to fly back this Thurs and I also get to stay in Syd for the next week - YAY! =)
